Main Bar

The main bar and dining area is the beating heart of The Kings Arms Otterton. Whether you’re socialising with friends, enjoying a quiet drink or joining us for lunch or dinner, it’s a cosy and comfortable place to relax. The bar area has squashy leather sofas and chairs and the warm glow of a woodburner during cooler weather. We offer a varied, locally-sourced menu, with breakfast, lunch and dinner served at tables hand-made especially for us by a local carpenter based at Exmouth Docks.

BAR OPENING TIMES:

Mon-Sun - 10am to 10pm.

Our Drinks

The bar is well stocked with old favourites and local legends, including ale and bitter from nearby Otter Brewery, cider from Sandford Orchards in Crediton and even locally distilled spirits, including Salcombe Gin. Soft drinks include delicious organic blends from Devon-based Luscombe Drinks and we also serve teas and coffees in the bar throughout the day. We’re always happy to provide free water to thirsty walkers - just ask.

The Conservatory

A little away from the main bar area, additional seating is available in the conservatory. This light, open space is flexible enough to accommodate large or small groups, with private bookings welcome. Thanks to its position on the south-eastern side of the building, the conservatory is an especially nice spot to enjoy breakfast (served daily, 7.30-10.30). In summer, French doors open out on to the East Terrace.

Outside

The friendly, relaxed atmosphere carries through into our outdoor seating areas. A brick-paved terrace runs along the eastern side of the pub, with a larger terrace on the western side - both are perfect places to spend a summer’s evening with friends, food and few drinks. To the rear of the pub, our children’s play area and lawn offer space to stretch little legs, safely away from the main road. All our outdoor areas are dog-friendly, though dogs need to be kept under close control. We also offer secure ‘parking’ for horses (see Dog-Friendly for more details). The Kings Arms car park is free for pub customers and overnight guests to use.
